North End Of Ocean County
Brick is one of the larger townships in Ocean County, stretching from the Metedeconk River and Barnegat Bay waterfront to big inland neighborhoods and commercial corridors along Route 70 and Route 88.
It is the farthest north of the core towns we cover, and worth the ride. A lot of Brick's homes went up in the postwar decades, and many of them are now at the point where owners are choosing between a gut renovation and starting over.
Waterfront Lots On The River And Bay
Along the river and bay, many lots back onto lagoons with bulkheads and docks. Those are structures to protect, and they get identified on the walkthrough so equipment staging and pull direction keep clear of them.
Waterfront teardowns here often lead into an elevated rebuild, so the finish matters: foundation out, debris gone, and a lot graded for the builder.
Ranches, Capes, And Pools
Inland, the work is heavy on the older housing: ranches and capes coming down for rebuilds, interiors gutted for renovations, and in ground pools being removed. Our pool removal guide covers the full versus partial question.
Older homes can also need testing or an oil tank check before demolition. Our older home guide explains what gets looked at first.
