- Tuckerton is our home base. The yard is here, so local jobs get scheduled fastest and carry no travel premium.
- Town work splits two ways: the lagoon homes of Tuckerton Beach along the bay, and the older blocks in town off Route 9.
- Older houses in town can carry historic district review or testing before they come down, and we flag that early. Call or text (609) 290-3565.
Our Home Base
Al Demolition is based in Tuckerton, which makes local jobs the easiest ones on our calendar. Estimates happen quickly, small jobs are worth doing, and nothing has to wait on us finishing something an hour away.
Being local also means we know the town's mix. A teardown on a lagoon lot by the bay and a teardown on an older block in town are different jobs, and the quote should reflect which one you have.
Tuckerton Beach And The Lagoons
Tuckerton Beach is built along lagoons off the bay: narrow lots, bulkheads at the back, and groundwater close to the surface. Many homes there have been raised or replaced in the years since Hurricane Sandy, and that work is still going.
On a lagoon lot the bulkhead is a structure to protect, access usually comes from the street side only, and foundation removal at the end of the job gets planned around how wet the ground is.
The Older Blocks In Town
Closer to the center of town, the housing is older and the questions change. Some older structures may fall under historic district review, and the borough is the authority on whether yours does.
Older homes can also need testing for regulated materials, or a check for a buried oil tank, before demolition. Our older home guide covers what gets looked at first.
